Introduction to Online Safety Presentation
The first presentation in the Cyber Safe Schools series, Introduction to Online Safety, will introduce key concepts including the positive and negative aspects of technology, strategies for building online privacy, the importance of digital literacy, how companies share personal data, and essential online and social media safety principles.

Online Solicitation & Sextortion | Version 1 Presentation
The second presentation, Online Solicitation and Sextortion, (Grades 4th-6th), will help students understand grooming and how it works, recognize the tactics predators use, define online solicitation, review relevant state laws, and identify risks associated with inappropriate texting.

The second presentation, Online Solicitation and Sextortion, (Grades 7th+), will help students understand grooming and how it works, recognize the tactics predators use, define online solicitation, review relevant state laws, and identify risks associated with inappropriate texting ("sexting").

Level Up: Outsmart Gaming Risks Presentation
The third presentation, Level Up: Outsmart Gaming Risks, will address both the advantages and disadvantages of online gaming, explain the concept of doxing, describe how identity theft and data breaches can occur, introduce issues of harassment and cyberbullying, and share best practices for staying safe while gaming online.

Cyberbullying Presentation
The fourth presentation, Cyberbullying, will explore the differences between cyberbullying and cyber-harassment, explain what cyberstalking is, highlight at least three effects of cyberbullying, introduce the concept of deepfakes, and discuss how to establish healthy boundaries online.

Community Presentation
The Community Presentation is a culminating session designed for parents and caregivers, providing a comprehensive overview of the Cyber Safe Schools program. This presentation will highlight key concepts in online safety, equip adults with practical tools and resources to help monitor and guide youth online activity, and offer strategies for fostering open, healthy conversations about digital behavior.

Victim-Centered Language
When discussing any type of victimization, it is important to use victim-centered language. With cyberbullying, online harassment, and sextortion there are specific considerations that can help avoid misconceptions and empower victims. This document includes guidance on language that you should be aware of when talking with any audience about online safety.
